NATURE

"Like music and art, love of nature is a common language that can transcend political or social boundaries."

Jimmy Carter

Leave No Trace

Nowadays most folks are followers of the expectation that we should respect nature and the environment. They understand that we should leave no trace whenever

and however we enjoy nature.

The movement of Leave No Trace began

in the 1960's in response to the increasing damage our environment was enduring through recreational use.

With this movement came the extremely important realization that protection of

nature is of the utmost importance.

Leave No Trace has an amazing program and a very informative website. Their work is

far-reaching, in all fifty United States and

in other countries. They are doing awesome things each and every day. They are one

more reason to have hope for the future!

If you would like to learn more about this movement, please visit their website:

The organization accomplishes its mission by providing innovative education, skills, research and science to help people care for the outdoors. By working with the public and those managing public lands, Leave No Trace focuses on educating people - instead of costly restoration programs or access restrictions - as the most effective and least resource-intensive solution to land protection."

The popularity of this concept and movement gives us so much reason to hope.

It is solid proof of the abundant care and concern there is for taking care of

our environment. And it is only one of many programs across the globe that are driving positive change in protecting nature.

When you leave no trace, you show you care.

And that makes the difference.

Because when we all do our part, we keep forests healthy, protect our parks, keep wildlife strong and ensure everyone is welcomed to enjoy these remarkable places together. No matter where or why you get outside, it’s yours to protect.

It’s Your Nature.
